Navigating the Knowledge Base

When accessing the Knowledge Base, you will see right away that there many different categories to choose from. If you are not certain what system your issue pertains to, use this guide to learn a little bit more about what each category means.

1. Getting Started

The 'Getting Started' section is designed to help you navigate the Knowledge Base more easily. Here you will find How-to guides that pertain specifically to finding information in the Knowledge Base, as well as information about Quad Support and Policies. You can use this section to find articles on how to submit a ticket to our help desk, along with information about recent updates to the Knowledge Base. If you are unsure about how to use the Knowledge Base, this is a good place to start!

2. AH Canvas

The 'AH Canvas' Section is for both Students and Faculty. You can see that there are two sections within AH Canvas that address problems that are specific to teachers or students. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if you are working in Quad or Canvas and which system the issue is related to. The easiest way to distinguish is by looking at the URL. If you are on a page and the URL contains 'canvas', the issue is most likely related to Canvas rather than Quad.

3. Virtual Meetings and Classes

The 'Virtual Meetings & Classes' section is designed to answer questions that pertain to Adobe Connect and Zoom. It should be noted that Zoom is only used for student and advisor meetings. Faculty members do not use Zoom for any of their online classes. Adobe Connect is the system that is used for all online classes that are taught through American Honors.

4. Quad

The 'Quad' Section is for both Students and Faculty. You can see that there are  sections within Quad that address problems that are specific to teachers or students. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if you are working in Quad or Canvas and which system the issue is related to. The easiest way to distinguish is by looking at the URL. If you are on a page and the URL contains 'quad', the issue is most likely related to Quad rather than Canvas.

Additionally, any of the social media tools are Quad related, along with the Transfer Tracker tool.

5. Teaching Resources

The 'Teaching Resources' section is designed specifically for Faculty members. This section offers pedagogical guides for instructors.
